| A step-by-step guide to ordering prints.
1. Go to our
gallery menu. In the right hand column will be
a short description of each gallery, with a small
picture. Find the gallery you want to see and click
on the picture or gallery name link to open the gallery
in a new window. Galleries can have multiple pages.
2. Scan the
gallery. You can view the pictures in the gallery
in two ways.
a. The thumbnail
gallery view shows you a “contact sheet”
of 36 photos per page. You can select multiple photos
to be added to your shopping cart by clicking on the
checkboxes associated with each of your photos and
then clicking “add to cart”. You can see
a larger version of any pictures by clicking on individual
thumbnails. (see
a diagram)
b. See larger
photos by clicking on the first thumbnail in the gallery
and using the VCR-style navigation or the pull-down
menu to navigate from photo to photo. Buttons below
each picture allow you to add the photo you are viewing
to your shopping cart, send a link of the photo to
a friend, or return to the thumbnail view of the gallery.
(see
a diagram)
3. Select the
photos you want to print; add them to your cart.
a. In the Thumbnail
view, click on the check boxes next to the photos
you want to print. Click the “Add to cart”
button at the top or bottom of the page. You will
be taken to your shopping cart screen where you can
select the size of your prints. If you wish to continue
shopping, you can return to the gallery by clicking
the "Add more images" button in the upper
left of the shopping cart page.
b. In the larger
image view, click the “Add to cart” button
below the image. The image will be added to your cart
and the “Add to cart” button changes to
a shopping cart icon. To continue shopping, just navigate
to the next photo using the controls above the current
picture or click the “Go to gallery” button.
To view your cart — where you will be able to
select print sizes — click the shopping cart
icon.
Images remain
in your shopping cart for seven days or until you
check out, so you can view galleries in multiple sessions
and place a single order.
4. Go to your
cart and begin checkout. In any view, you can
see your shopping cart by clicking any shopping cart
icon. (Always at the top of the thumbnail gallery
page and next to any selected picture.) Each page
of the checkout process has simple instructions at
the top of the page.
You begin checkout
at the “Configure Image” page. (see
a diagram) In the upper left of the page is a
checkbox for paper finish, select glossy or matte
finish.
Each image you
selected from the gallery is offered in many sizes.
You may order different sized prints of the same image.
Enter a quantity for each size of each image you want
to print. (If you have changed your mind about an
image and don't want to print it, just leave the quantity
as “0” in all sizes.) When you have entered
a quantity for each size of print, click the “Continue”
button at the bottom of the page.
5. Crop images
and confirm information. The next page allows
you to crop photos to your selected sizes using Printroom.com's
Zoom and Crop feature. (see
a diagram) (Read
more about Zoom & Crop at Printroom.com.)
To get the full photo, framed and cropped by Rick,
you should choose the "White Borders" option.
This option might result in an uneven white border
on the print, but you are guaranteed to get the complete
image.
Review your size
choices and total. To make changes, click the “Back
to Cart” button.
When your images
are cropped as you like and you have reviewed your
order, click the “Continue” button.
6. Enter your
shipping information and select your shipment
method. Here
is a list of shipping prices. Click the “Total”
button to go to the next step.
7. Enter your
billing information, check your order information
and click “Purchase”. You may pay
online by secure credit card transaction or by check
or money order.
8. Print your
confirmation page or otherwise carefully note
your order number. Printroom will send you a status/receipt
e-mail.
